So not only have we just launched our brand new website we have also been busy designing our print portfolio.

All though we very much live in a digital age we still believe that print plays its part in the design world. It achieves something that digital just can’t and that is tangibility. We don’t know about you but we love the feel and credibility of print, there’s just something very special about it (if designed correctly of course, but we can help with that).

A lot of time went into designing the layout, look and feel of our portfolio. It was really important to us that the portfolio took the user on a creative journey to discover who we are and what we do. We also wanted it to be easy to navigate, all the projects are clearly tilted with the project name, client and design categories they fall into. We hoped this would showcase all the disciplines we work in from branding to web design.

Apart from the print, everything was done in house from the copy to the photography. We have a small photography set up in our studio meaning that we could do all the photography ourselves. In no way do we specialise in photography but it’s definitely a passion that we would like to explore.

After a couple of months in the making, it was exciting to see it come back from the printers and it was as perfect as we had hoped. We are in our second year of business and this was portfolio Vol. 2 (we plan to produce one every year). Last year we had one professionally printed this year we had a couple of hundred which shows growth and progression if nothing else.

We take a copy with us every time we meet a new client and leave it with them after a meeting is over, it gives them something to look back on. Even if they don’t use us for the project discussed it will always be there as a visual reminder of who we are and what we can do for them. As well as handing them to clients in person we have also been posting them out, we have paired them up with shiny red envelopes to do this. As well as providing protection it also ensures they can’t be missed.
